Privacy Policy
Last updated October 4, 2026
The short version
- We collect what Gen2 needs to work: a sign-in identifier, the photos you choose to restyle, the images we make for you, and your credits and purchases.
- Photos are sent to an AI image model only to make your artwork. We don’t use them to train models, we don’t show ads, and we don’t sell your data.
- Location and other photo metadata are removed on your phone before upload.
- Delete a poster or your whole account in the app, and its photos and images are removed from our servers.
Who we are
Gen2 is an iPhone app operated by Longyan Xinluo Zhejia Technology Co., Ltd. (“we”, “us”). This policy covers the Gen2 app and this website. If you have a question or request, email gen2@o-c.do.
What we collect
Your account
You sign in with Apple or with Google. We receive a unique identifier for your account from them and use it to recognize you. We don’t store your name or your email address. With Sign in with Apple you can also choose to hide your email from us entirely.
Photos and generated images
When you choose a photo to restyle, the app resizes it and removes its location and other metadata before uploading it. We store that photo and the image generated from it so you can see them under My Posters, compare them, and download them again.
Credits and purchases
We keep a record of your credit balance and how credits were added and spent. If you buy credits or a subscription, Apple handles the payment; we receive transaction details from Apple (such as the product, transaction ID and dates) to add your credits. We never see your card or payment details.
Preventing abuse
To limit free credits to one account per device, we store a one-way hash of an app-specific device identifier. We may also use Apple’s DeviceCheck to confirm that requests come from a genuine Apple device. Neither of these identifies you personally or follows you across other apps.
Technical data
Like any online service, our servers receive your IP address and basic request information (such as time, the address requested and the result). We use this to run, secure and troubleshoot Gen2, and keep it only for a short period.
What we don’t collect
- No advertising identifiers, no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs, and no tracking across other companies’ apps or websites.
- No face recognition. Some features find faces or the main subject of a photo to frame it or cut it out; that happens on your iPhone, and nothing from it is stored or sent to us.
- No access to your photo library beyond the photos you pick or share with Gen2.
Features that stay on your iPhone
Some features run on your device and their data doesn’t reach our servers: reading a photo’s date and location to suggest poster text, text recognition, writing suggestions from Apple Intelligence, drawings, and translation. To turn a location into a place name, your iPhone asks Apple Maps; Apple’s privacy policy applies to that request.
How we use it
- To create your artwork and show you your posters.
- To manage your account, credits and purchases, and refund credits when a generation fails.
- To keep Gen2 secure and prevent fraud and abuse, including blocking content that breaks our Terms of Use.
- To answer you when you contact us.
- To meet our legal obligations.
We don’t use your photos or images to train AI models, we don’t use your data for advertising, and we don’t sell or rent it to anyone.
Who processes your data
We use a small number of service providers to run Gen2. They process data on our behalf and only for the purposes below.
| Provider | What for | What they receive |
|---|---|---|
| AI image model providers, through OpenRouter (for example OpenAI) | Generating your artwork | The photo you chose and the style’s instructions |
| Cloudflare | Hosting, file storage and network security | Photos, generated images and technical data |
| Neon | Database hosting (United States) | Account identifiers, credits, purchase records and poster records |
| Apple | Sign in with Apple, App Store purchases and DeviceCheck | What’s needed for each of those services |
| Sign in with Google, if you choose it | What’s needed to sign you in |
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and others.
Where your data is stored
Gen2’s servers and our providers are located outside your country, mainly in the United States. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
How long we keep it
- Photos and generated images: until you delete the poster or your account. After you delete them, they’re removed from storage, normally within a day.
- Your account: until you delete it. Deleting your account signs you out everywhere, removes your sign-in identifier and deletes all your photos and images.
- Credit and purchase records: kept after account deletion for as long as accounting, tax and fraud-prevention rules require, without your sign-in identifier.
- Technical logs: a few days, unless we need them longer to investigate abuse or a security issue.
Your choices and rights
- Download your artwork and posters from the app at any time.
- Delete a single poster from My Posters, or your whole account from the Account tab.
- Ask us to access, correct, export or delete your data, or object to how we use it, by emailing gen2@o-c.do. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
If you signed in with Apple, you can also stop using Sign in with Apple for Gen2 in your iPhone’s Settings. If you signed in with Google, you can remove Gen2’s access in your Google Account settings.
Children
Gen2 isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data. Where the law of your country sets a higher age, that age applies. If you believe a child has given us their data, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Files are stored privately and shared with the app only through short-lived links. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and limit who can access it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above. If the changes are significant, we’ll also let you know in the app.
